2012
Dear fellow-villagers, respectable readers,
We welcome all of you anywhere you live. It is our pleasure that we confirmed you are interested in connecting our website and to be informed about the news of our beloved village, Patriki. You respectable readers, even you didn’t know before anything about our enslaved village, we thank you that now you have the chance to learn more that in twenty first century still prevails the slavery of 37% of the earth of the Republic of Cyprus from other country, Turkey, which desires to be a full member of the European Union.
Now you have all information you shall learn more through ours second edition of our magazine.
We present to you our film taken by us round the areas of Famagusta-Trikomo-Bogazi and surely our village Patriki.
You shall watch the exploration of the Greek Cypriots immovable property by Turkey.
You shall see the catastrophe of our village. The deference is so big according to the development in other areas. The interesting of Turkey about far away villages is very worthless.
The emigrants from Turkey don’t bother to take care for the houses they live or generally for the community.
Our magazine gives emphasis to the called “Committee for immovable properties” established in occupied Nicosia by exhortation of the European Court of Human Rights, as a helpful means for a friendly arrangement between Greek Cypriots and Turkey. In other words we shall sell off our immovable property for very small price, after we must sign the selling contract that we don’t claim anything else from Turkey.
We sign by this way, unfortunately, the division in two of our country, selling our property, small or bigger one.
In the future, Turkey, shall present those signatures showing to other countries that lawfully got this earth of Cyprus, and tells all people “you Greek Cypriots signed for me and I paid for you, so this land belongs to me”.
You shall read more about this subject in our letter referred to this committee. We shall give you the opportunity to read some publications from the Cyprus newspaper “POLITIS” (citizen) which referred to this committee and some others of the Turkish Cypriot journalist Mr. Sener Levent, from the same newspaper that reveal the reaction of some Turkish Cypriots to the policy of Turkey to occupy a part of the Republic of Cyprus or to trample underfoot the human rights of the Turkish Cypriots.
We deemed that these reports are interested for all Cypriots refugees because they shall be informed for subjects of big meaning about Cyprus problem. For the property subject that detains everyone of us, the problem of Turkish Cypriots that they feel Turkey as a conqueror and not as a liberator. Those Turkish Cypriots who want the reunion of our island, the Turkish troops go out and Turkey to stop the influence to the Turkish Cypriot community.
We want all communities to live in this island peaceful. Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots, Maronites, Armenians and Latins under the protective umbrella of the European Union.

Thanks !!!
Our magazine “PATRIKIOTIKA NEA” thanks warmly the very numerous renders – visitors of our website. We looked out with emotion that the number of readers so much from Cyprus as great as abroad (Greece, England, USA, Australia) where many fellow – villagers live, they entered to our website and read the news of our beloved village. We confirmed that our fellow-villagers have strong will to be informed about their unforgetable village-Patriki.
We wish that this zeal will be continuous, specially by the new generation. Old people, one by one die, therefore, the young people of our village must know everything about their village. They shall be, on the blessed day, the legal residents of that land that they inherited from their grandfathers.

2011
My dear fellow villagers,
I am glad that I have the occasion to communicate with you, via this online magazine. The magazine belongs to all the residents of Patriki. This will become the electronic means that we will inform the descendants of our beloved village. It will display to them news that concerns our fellow villagers. The activities, the successes and in general what interests each Patriki resident has. Also it will inform them of the current situation of our enslaved village.
I want to believe that it will become a chain between the all residents of Patriki, and here in Cyprus and abroad and become part of the lives of many of our fellow villagers. We all communicate with one another with the telephone but this is something separate you learn news from your own people, your fellow villagers, through a written form. The written text remains for always, if we look after it, while the spoken word although it informs us is lost in the infinity of time. In this online magazine will see our fellow villagers photographs from our memorable Patriki. From the good and quiet season up to 1974 as well as dreary photographs from the slavery and the desolation after 1974.
I aspire for good collaboration of all residents of our village, first, second and third generation, the interests to announce news with their own words and photographic material that would have a relationship with our unforgettable village. I would be very grateful if you could send me any information you would like to see in our magazine to share with all our fellow villagers of Patriki. So we can share with all our fellow villagers in all languages, translations in English are done by non professionals so please be patient. So if your abroad and don't speak or read any Greek, all our news will be available to you
It will be disheartening if the organised totals of our village, the Community Council, the Contact of Displaced Patrikiou and the Contact of Emigrant Patrikiou England if we do not participate in this effort to invigorate the memory of our enslaved village. Together we write and discuss “PATRIKI News” in order to give our voice against all those who bad mouthour ill-fated village. Until a fair solution has been found and we return to the ground of our forefathers.
